This policy covers all interactions with Dimroid Technologies through:

  • Our WhatsApp Business bot (Seek, service updates, support)
  • Our platforms: D-Rentals, Uni-Link, Dimroid Shop, Glossary, and future student solutions
  • Our desktop applications (QR Generator, File Arranger, Countdown Timer, etc.)
  • Our automation scripts and custom tools
  • Any form, email, or direct communication with us

If you're using something we built, this policy applies.

4. What Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to serve you better. Nothing more, nothing creepy.

When you use our WhatsApp bot:

  • Your phone number (so we know it's you)
  • Your name (if you provide it)
  • Messages you send to the bot (to understand your request)
  • Basic usage data (timestamps, frequency)

When you use D-Rentals or Uni-Link:

  • University identification documents to verify you're a real student:
    • Student ID card (image or number)
    • School email address (e.g., @st.lasu.edu.ng for LASU students)
    • Any other document we may request to confirm enrollment
  • Your name, email, phone number
  • University, faculty, department
  • Listings you create (accommodation, products, services)
  • Messages between users
  • Payment information (processed securely through third parties—we never store your card details)

Why we need university IDs: We need to make sure only real students use student‑only features. This keeps scammers out and builds trust in our community. Your ID is stored securely and never shared publicly.

When you use our desktop apps:

  • No personal data is collected automatically
  • Any files you choose to organize (File Arranger) stay on your device
  • Authentication data if you use our activation system

When you buy or resell our scripts (Affiliate Program):

  • Your name, email, bank details (for payments)
  • Sales records and commission tracking

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Verify you're a student – so only legitimate students access student‑only services
  • Provide the service you asked for – respond to WhatsApp messages, show rental listings, process purchases
  • Improve our products – understand what features students actually need

  • Communicate important updates – maintenance, new features, policy changes
  • Pay you – if you're an affiliate reselling our scripts

We do not sell your data. We do not use it for ads. We do not hand it to third parties unless required by law or necessary to deliver the service (e.g., payment processors).

6. Student Data & University Relationship

Let's be clear: We are not taking over university infrastructure. We're not here to replace school systems or mine student data for profit.

We're here because:

  • Students need affordable housing near campus (D-Rentals)
  • Students need to buy/sell stuff without getting scammed (Uni-Link)
  • Students need tools that make student life less stressful

We partner with students, not against them. Your data stays yours. When you leave university, you can delete your account and we'll remove your information. No strings attached.

If your university wants to work with us officially—great. We'll sign whatever agreements they need. But we built this for students first.

7. Affiliate Program & Script Reselling

We encourage students to make money by reselling our automation scripts. Here's how data works for affiliates:

  • We collect your payment details only to send you commissions
  • You promote our products; we handle fulfillment
  • Customer data from your sales is governed by this same policy
  • You don't get access to customer data—we protect everyone's privacy

8. Data Storage & Security

We store your data securely on:

  • Azure Cloud (for web platforms)
  • Encrypted databases (no plaintext passwords ever)
  • Your local device (desktop apps keep your files on your machine)

We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS everywhere, password hashing (bcrypt), regular security audits, and limited employee access to production data. If there's a breach, we'll notify affected users within 72 hours as required by Nigerian law.

9. Your Rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete your account and data
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with NITDA if you're unhappy

10. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third parties to run our services including Meta (WhatsApp), Paystack, Monnify, Interswitch, Microsoft Azure, Cloudflare, and GitHub. Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share what's necessary to make things work.

11. Cookies & Tracking

Our websites use minimal cookies (Session cookies to keep you logged in, and optional analytics cookies). We don't use tracking pixels, fingerprinting, or any creepy surveillance tech. If we add analytics, we'll ask first.

12. Changes To This Policy

We may update this policy as we grow. If we make significant changes, we'll notify you via WhatsApp or email, post the updated policy on our site, and update the date at the top.
